Howto's

Especially when I just started with *NIX operating systems, about 2 years back, I found that the documentation for many things should be better. I still have that some times when you are completely stuck. At those moments I start searching for howto's on the subject. There are plenty of howto's on the internet, though good ones are seldom. With this knowledge and the point that you should shut up, unless you can show you do it better, I started to make my own howto's. Those howto's can be found here. They are not perfect, so please mail me when you think I missed something in a howto or when you have questions, so I can adjust it. Enjoy them :-)

I used the same format for every howto.
The generally layout is this:
Contents
Introduction
Used programs
...
Result
At some points I have included notes, you will find those identified using:
- Note -
The text of this note

The examples and commands can be identified by:
An example
For the commands I got one more thing, when you have to execute those under a privileged user, they have # in front. If they have $ in front use an unprivileged user.
